Further out are the Millstream at Bosham, the Spread Eagle in Midhurst and the Old Railway Station at Petworth. Every entry checked against the venue’s own site on 27 October 2026.

We have not had tea at these places for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the venue publishes: what it serves, the price, serving times and booking rules. Hygiene ratings come from the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Afternoon tea menus change with the season, so check before a special trip.

How we chose

These are the afternoon teas people search for around Chichester: the city-centre hotel and brasserie teas, the gallery café, and the country hotels, vineyard and stately home named in The Great Sussex Way’s February 2026 round-up. Every place has a food hygiene rating of 5, and none had posted a closure notice. We left out tearooms whose own websites we could not reach or that no longer list a Chichester branch. Prices, times and booking rules come from each venue’s own website and menus, checked on 27 October 2026, and the ratings from the Food Standards Agency.
