The Hole in the Wall pours 8 cask ales and 4 ciders: 16 Chichester pubs with CAMRA Good Beer Guide entries, hours and hygiene ratings, checked 24 October 2026.

The Chichester pubs most people land on are the Hole in the Wall on St Martin’s Street, with the biggest beer range in the city; the Park Tavern opposite Priory Park; and the Eastgate on The Hornet. All three have entries in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide. By the water, the Crown & Anchor at Dell Quay is the usual name. Every entry checked against the venue’s own site on 24 October 2026.

We have not visited these pubs for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the pub says about itself and what it publishes about hours and food, then adds the public record: the Campaign for Real Ale’s pub listings, which flag Good Beer Guide entries, and the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating. Hours change with the seasons, so check before a long trip.

How we chose

These are the Chichester pubs people search for and can check: the city pubs and nearby village pubs with entries in the Campaign for Real Ale’s Good Beer Guide, the long-running harbour and Downs pubs, and the city’s newer micropubs and taprooms. Every pub here has a food hygiene rating of 4 or 5, and none had posted a closure notice. The facts come from each pub’s own website, CAMRA’s national pub listings and its Western Sussex branch pub guide, Historic England and the Food Standards Agency.
